Kundapur, Oct 6: The taluk-level Student Federation of India (SFI) conference was held at Tile Workers’ Hall here, recently. 
 
Addressing the conference the state secretary Anantha Nayak said that with its membership exceeding 45 lac, SFI was today emboldened to raise its voice against the exploitation of poor working class who earn a meagre daily wage of Rs 20. The state government has been obsessed with the idea of saffronising, instead of practicing parity in education and improving the quality of educational standards. The government is further privatizing the educational policy, said Nayak.
 
The former chief comrade B M Nasir hoisted the flag.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Jeevanraj Kuttar, member of state council of SFI said that communal violence has been causing major hindrance in the efforts of SFI to bring about unity among the students.

SFI chief Suresh Kalagaar, SFI president Raviraj Padukone, secretary Raghavendra and Karnataka state SFI chief Sujeeth Kumar were present.
