Mangalore, Oct 6: ‘The Carvalho Gharanne – Thomas Stephen Konkani Kendr Kalaakaar Puraskar – 2009’ will be awarded at Kalaangann here on November 1.

In this fifth year of award ceremony, it has been decided that a deserving female artist of Karnataka origin who has contributed immensely towards the enrichment of Konkani performing arts (theatre, music, or folk arts) will be selected for the award. Award consists of Rs 25,000 in cash, citation and a trophy.

Applications or recommendations along with a photo, list of achievements, proof and paper cuttings, should be sent to Mandd Sobhann, Kalangann, Makale, Shaktinagar, Mangalore - 575 016 on or before October 20, 2009
