Mangaluru: ICYM Central Council & Jesus Youth conducts 'You Meet-2020'

Mangaluru, Jan 26: Indian Catholic Youth Movement Central Council, Mangaluru diocese in the view of 'Year of Youth' organised 'You Meet-2020' To meet, To know, To share.

A unique programme was held to gather all the youth on Republic Day, January 26 to all the youth coming from different states and residing in Mangalore from 9 am to 2 pm at St Aloysius High School Hall.

The programme was presided over by Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of Mangaluru and chairman of youth commission, chief guest for the programme was Fr Dionysius Vaz, rector, St Aloysius Institutions along with Fr Ronald Prakash D’Souza, secretary, Youth commission and director of ICYM Mangaluru diocese, Kaine Cecilia, advisor to NEPAM, Mangaluru, Ashal Benny, coordinator Jesus Youth Mangaluru, Leon Loyd Saldanha, president, ICYM, Mangaluru diocese and Veena Vas, secretary, ICYM, Mangaluru diocese, were present on the dias.

The programme began with a welcome dance performed by Jesus Youth along with a prayer song led by Minol Braggs and team. The dignitaries inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. The dignitaries present on the dias addressed the gathering. Ashal Benny, coordinator, Jesus Youth Mangaluru, proposed vote of thanks. Vishma D’cunha compered the formal programme.

Ice breaking and Youth Cafe Session was conducted by Dheeraj D’souza .Thereafter Bishop DrPeter Paul Saldanha celebrated the Holy Eucharistic Mass. The programme concluded with a delicious lunch.
