Karkala: Man setting up pandal for brother's shop gets electrocuted

Karkala, Jan 27: Laxman Rao (52), a well-known body builder, got electrocuted in an unfortunate accident which happened here on Sunday January 26 afternoon.

Rao was a progressive farmer and LIC agent from Miyyar village. The incident happened near the centre of sculpture at Kuntibail here.

Laxman was erecting a pandal for the juice sop operated by his elder brother near the said centre, when tragedy struck. The aluminium ladder which Rao was carrying, got in touch with high tension power line passing nearby, instantly electrocuting him.

Laxman Rao was also an administrator of Mannar temple here. He is survived by wife, a son and a daughter.
