Kasargod, Jan 30: Manjeshwar police have arrested another accused relating to the murder of Pavoor, Kedambadi based wood dealer Ismael.

The arrested is Manjanady resident Arafat (29). Police personnel are on the lookout for another accused Siddik. Ismael’s wife Ayisha (42) and her friend Mohammed Hanif (35) were already arrested.

Investigations have revealed that Hanif had given the contract to Arafat and Siddik for Ismael’s murder.

The two had killed Ismael in the room of the house by strangling his neck. As per investigations, Hanif and Ayisha were waiting outside when the murder took place.

Arafat was arrested from Manjanady. Siddik is absconding. Police have said that several cases are pending against him in several police stations in Karnataka.
