Man from Puttur injured in accident, dies in Bengaluru

Puttur, Jan 31: A youth from Ammuje in Kuriya village in the taluk, had met with an accident recently at Nelamangala near Bengaluru. He had suffered serious injuries and was in coma. He was being treated at a hospital at Bengaluru. Without responding to treatments, he breathed his last on Wednesday, reports said.

The deceased was Salman Faris (22), son of Puthuchcha alias Rajab from Ammunje.

Salman was working for a shop at Bengaluru dealing in hand bags since the last five years. When travelling by scooter at Nelamangala on January 25, he had suffered serious injuries after a pick-up van knocked him down. He was admitted into a hospital at Bengaluru but he remained comatose.

His body was brought from Bengaluru and funeral was performed in the premises of Sampya mosque.

Faris is survived by parents, two brothers, and a sister.
