Chitradurga, Feb 3: In an accident which happened at Challakere in the district on Sunday February 2, a couple that was walking by the side of the road was killed.
One of the tyres of a truck that was moving on Pavagada road here suddenly burst. As a result, metal drum supporting the tyre got separated from the wheel and raced on the road. The drum hit Tippesh (45) from Kaluvehalli village in Challakere taluk and his wife Shivamma (40), who were walking b the side of the road , killing them insantly.
Challakere police have registered a case and investigation is on.
