Udupi: CME on glaucoma held by Kasturba Medical College and Hospital

Udupi, Feb 3: The Department of Ophthalmology, Kasturba Medical College and Kasturba Hospital Manipal conducted a CME on surgical management of glaucoma, 'Glaucoma Under Pressure' on February 2, 2020. Several eminent international and national faculty shared their knowledge and demonstrated surgical techniques including the advanced Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS).

Dr P L N G Rao pro-vice-chancellor of Health Sciences, Quality and Compliance, MAHE Manipal, was the chief guest and emphasized the importance of continued medical education. Dr Krishna Prasad Kudlu, honorary secretary Karnataka Ophthalmic Society, member of Scientific Committee AIOS and Dr Vikram Jain secretary, Udupi District were the guests of honour.

Dr Krishnanada Prabhu associate dean, KMC, Manipal, also graced the event.

The CME was spearheaded by the organizing chairperson, Dr Sulatha V Bhandary professor and HOD, Department of Ophthalmology and the organizing secretary Dr Neetha K I R, assistant professor under the guidance of Dr Vijaya Pai H professor and HOU, Department of Ophthalmology, KMC, Manipal.
