New Delhi, Feb 16 (IANS): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday took oath as Delhi Chief Minister for the third time at the Ramlila Maidan here.
Kejriwal sworn into office by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal in presence of a huge gathering. He took oath along with his designated Cabinet - Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Imran Hussain and Rajendra Pal Gautam.
The AAP got a massive mandate in the Delhi Assembly election as it was elected in 62 of the 70 Assembly constituencies here. The BJP could only manage to get eight seats. And the Congress again drew a blank.


Wave of patriotism at Kejriwal's swearing-in ceremony
A wave of patriotism flowed through Ramlila Maidan on Sunday where Aam Aadmi Chief Arvind Kejriwal took oath as Delhi Chief Minsiter for the third time.
The tricolour took over the usual blue and white of the AAP flag. The AAP supporters also shouted slogans of 'Jai Hind and Vande Mataram'. When Kejriwal reached the stage, slogans of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' reverberated through the iconic Ramlila Maidan.
The theme at the Ramlila Maidan among the enthusiastic crowd seemed to be that of nationalism with patriotic songs being played over the loudspeakers. Songs of film 'Border', 'Rang De Basanti' were also played here.
At the Ramlila Maidan, AAP supporters holding tricolours also displayed posters that said "Nayak 2 is back again". The poster has a picture of actor Anil Kapoor along with that of Arvind Kejriwal wearing the famous 'Anna cap' with Aam Aadmi written on it.
After Kejriwal, his cabinet ministers Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, Kailash Gahlot, Rajendra Pal took oath, while Gopal Rai took oath in the name of nation's freedom fighters, and Imran Hussain took oath in the name of Allah.

Bureaucrat-turned-politician Kejriwal was compared with the the fictional character played in the Hindi film Nayak.
The Ramlila Maidan looked like that of Anna movement of 2012.
Delhi leaders except Gupta give Kejriwal swearing-in a miss
BJP leaders except party MLA Vijender Gupta were conspicuous by their absence as AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal was sworn in on Sunday.
Even Gupta was said to be miffed as he was not allotted a seat in the front rows at the swearing-in ceremony. Gupta was the Leader of the Opposition in the last Assembly and has been re-elected to the new Assembly.
The Aam Aadmi Party leadership had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and all seven BJP MPs from Delhi to the event. Modi is visiting his parliamentary constituency Varanasi.
AAP leaders from Punjab, including many of their MLAs and party MP Bhagwant Mann, and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh were present on the occasion.
New era of development politics has begun: Kejriwal
New Delhi, Feb 16 (IANS): In his maiden speech as the third-time Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday the people of Delhi have given birth to a new brand of electoral politics --"the politics of development."
Addressing a huge crowd gathered at Delhi's historic Ram Leela ground, Kejriwal said immediately after his swearing-in that the future electoral politics in the country will be based on the development plank. "Delhiites, you have given birth to a new brand of politics -- the politics of performance, of setting up schools, healthcare facilities, providing water, power, and women's security."
Kejriwal also extended an olive branch to the Centre, indicating his eagerness to work with the BJP-led government for Delhi's development. "I had invited the Prime Minister to today's event, but he could not make it. I seek his blessings for Delhi's progress and development," he said, indicating his intention to let bygones be bygones.
The AAP and BJP had fought a bitter battle in the run-up to the assembly polls held on February 8.
Kejriwal's speech also hinted at his national ambitions. He said, "When every Indian gets security, health, education and employment only then will the Tricolour flutter proudly."
Will work with Centre for Delhi: Kejriwal
New Delhi, Feb 16 (IANS): Third time Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at his swearing in ceremony on Sunday asserted he would work for the next five years in coordination with the Centre without discriminating against those who did not support his party during the recently-concluded Delhi Assembly polls.
Calling his victory a success of every Delhiite, Kejriwal said he is the Chief Minister of everyone even if they voted for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or Congress.
"I am the Chief Minister of all who voted for AAP, BJP or Congress. I want to tell all the two crore people of the Delhi that you all are my family. It does not matter from which party you belong or from which caste, creed, or region you come. No matter if you are poor or rich," Kejriwal said.
In his 20-minute speech at Ramlila Maidan, Kejriwal said: "I will work for everyone for the next five years."
Kejriwal appealed to all political parties to forget things that happened during the run up to the polls and sought their help for the development of the capital city. He announced to work in coordination with the Centre and also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help his government for Delhi's progress.
"All parties should forget the past things and support this government for the progress of Delhi. We want to work in coordination with the Central government. I invited the Prime Minister for my swearing-in ceremony. I also urge the Prime Minister to help us in the development of Delhi," Kejriwal said.
