Shimoga: FKCA Bhadravati Unit Organizes Event in Aid of Tragedy-struck Family

Shimga, Oct 28: The Bhadravati unit of the Federation of Karnataka Christian Associations (FKCA), had organized a  programme of melodious devotional songs by ‘Agni Gospel Melodies, Bhadravati’ at the premises of Luther Church Bhadravati at 6 pm on Sunday October 25. The programme was aimed at extending financial assistance to the family of Arogyaraj, who died, and his sister, Pushpa, who was crippled for life, due to lightning recently.

On this occasion, a cheque for Rs 25,000 issued by Ronald Colaco, state president of FKCA, for helping the family, was handed over to Pushpa by state convener of FKCA, Denis D’Silva. Fr Mark D’Silva, priest of the Church of Infant Jesus, Sharavati Nagar here, presented to her the money collected from the people, who had taken part in the said event.

















Fr Denis Mathias, priest of Bhadravati church, CSI church pastor, P F Gidione, Br T S Prabhudas of Brethren Assembly Church, Luther Church pastor Samuel, sisters of the religious order working for Nirmala Hospital and sisters of St Charles Convent, participated in the programme.

Over 1,000 people took part in this programme, where a team led by pastor Devanesan presented the programme for two hours. FKCA Bhadravati unit president Cyril D’Costa explained about the purpose of the programme and the tragedy that had befallen this poor family. Secretary William welcomed. C V Paul proposed vote of thanks.
