Mangalore, Nov 4: Well-known writer Vaidehi launched website anupamamonthly.com of Anupama women’s monthly magazine here in the city on Tuesday November 3.
Speaking on the occasion, litterateur Vaidehi said that a magazine run by women going online is indeed a great achievement and proves women are equal to men. Women in general have same responsibilities and problems barring religious identity, be it be Muslim, Christian or Hindu, she said.
The efforts of women come to light when she attains equal stature to that of men, she said.
Chief guest Dr S T Rehana, psychologist said the magazine needs to focus on social problems of women and especially on teenage girls. The write-ups based on psychological analysis will help the readers to defeat the problems, which they are facing in the society, she added.
Editor of Anupama, M Shehanaaz said that it is a dream true for the magazine to launch a website in its decennial year and thus make it available to everyone around the world.
