Mangaluru: 'Byari Kalarava 2020' held at Mallur

Mangaluru, Mar 2: "Human beings want love and faithfulness. That should be permanent. Now people do not need speeches but ideologies. It is really appreciable that Spot News Group Mallur has organized a programme to felicitate people who have served the society. Everyone should cooperate with the organizations that work as complimentary to the society," said MLA U T Khader.

Khader was speaking after inaugurating the 'Mallur Sambhrama Byari Kalarava - 2020' programme which was organized by Spot News Group Mallur at the Mallur grounds.

Speaking on the occasion former minister Ramanath Rai said, "It is natural to criticize even the organizations that serve the society without any benefit in return. But we should not get bogged down by such criticism and focus ourselves on the service to the society."

The programme was presided over by Abdul Sattar, president of Chikkamagaluru Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Akshara Santa, Padmashree awardee Harekala Hajabba was felicitated on the occasion. Spot News awards were bestowed on soldier Sunil Kumar Mallur, Pilot Salamat Ali and Gulf Guys Central Committee Mallur.

Achievers in various fields were also felicitated on the occasion. M K Jabbar did the introductory speech. Altaf Demmale welcomed the gathering. The programme was compered by B A Mohammed Ali. M G Basheer Ganemar rendered the vote of thanks.
