Mangalore: DC Cautions Village Accountant Aspirants

TOI

Mangalore, Nov 9: The temporary selection list of 107 village accountants for Dakshina Kannada will be published  November 30. A press release from deputy commissioner V Ponnuraj here stated that the selection will be done solely on the basis of marks secured by the applicants in their II PUC or equivalent examination conducted by either CBSE and ICSE.

The selection list will be based on reservation quota as specified by the government and as per the merit list drawn from among the applicants. Objections, if any, to temporary selection list, can be submitted to the authorities concerned on its publication. Noting that certain unscrupulous elements are trying to mislead the people by promising to secure the above jobs for them, the DC has advised all concerned not to fall prey to such elements.

Information on any such attempt should be passed on to the office of the deputy commissioner or to the nearest police station, the release stated. The revenue department had issued a notification through newspapers and through the above portal inviting applications for the posts of village accountants on September 26. There will be no interview, or written test for the recruitment to these posts, the release stated.
