The temple is one of the oldest in the area and is for worshipping Subramanya, the God of serpants. Only a few meters away the Nagarjuna Thermal project has killed hundreds of cobras along with other wildlife and is a serious threat to the existence of this temple. After project commissioning the heat, coal dust and other particulate matters would make this temple almost impossible to function. These people are hardly bothered about it. But planning to renovate the temple under such circumstances is indigestible. For all I know they would invite Dr. V.S.Acharya the keyman of the power project owners for inaguration also.
