Udupi: Inauguration of Balanikethana, Kitchen Block and Cultural Hall

Udupi, Nov 13: The inauguration of Sri Krishna Balanikethana, functioning under the care of Pejawar Mutt since 1990 for the welfare of the children, which has since been identified as a fit institution under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act 2000, its new kitchen block, dining hall and cultural hall, will be inaugurated at 11 am on Sunday November 15 at the premises of the institution at Kukkikatte here, by Narendra Swamy, state minister for women and child welfare.

Home minister, Dr V S Acharya, secretary in the women and child welfare department, Dr Ashvath, MLA K Raghupati Bhat, deputy commissioner, Hemalata, district and sessions judge, Chengappa, and Anegudde Vinayaka temple managing trustee, Sooryanarayana Upadhyaya, will participate as chief guests.


The programme will be presided over by Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt. Junior Swamiji of the Mutt, Sri Vishwa Prasannateertha Swamiji, will deliver benedictory address, informed Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji, at a press conference held here on Wednesday November 11.

Balanikitan president, Prof Kamalaksha, secretary, Ramachandra Upadhyaya, treasurer, Raghuram Acharya, members of the trust, Ramachandra Sanil, Subrahmanya Basri and Sandhya, were present at the press conference.
