Mangalore: Rain of Less Intensity Continues

Mangalore, Nov 17: Rains have continued to visit Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod districts on Monday too. The meteorological department said on Monday, that the rain will continue for one more day. At the same time, as the depression which caused the rainfall, has been moving towards north Karnataka, places like Belgaum, Gadag and Hubli also most likely, will have rains.

In Subrahmanya, a light drizzle that started on Monday morning, continued till night. Puttur got seven cms of rain on Monday. Average rainfall was experienced in Beltangady, Puttur and some parts of Sullia taluk. Almost all the places in the coast had cloudy weather on Monday, with good rains in the evening.

A house owned by Babu Poojary from Paddandadka near Venur, Beltangaday, was damaged due to lightning on Sunday. The wall of the house crashed to the ground, but the family members were away when the incident happened. Revenue officials visited the spot.
