Moodbidri: Ankola Accident Victims Identified

Moodbidri, Nov 19:
The six persons who lost their lives in the accident that occurred between a Tempo Trax vehicle and a truck carrying iron ore at Mastikatte, 25 kms away from Ankola in Uttara Kannada district in the early hours on Wednesday November 18, have been identified as Vinay (30) froom Alangar near here, who was driving the vehicle, Sundari Monappa Shetty from Moodbidri, Indira Sankappa Shetty from Muchchoor, Padmalata Rajesh Shetty, her son, Tushar Rajesh Shetty (3), and Obayya Anni Shetty (40) from Bittattu House, Kannadikatte, Beltangady.

Shylaja Sadanand Shetty (24) from Muchchoor, her daughter, Saniha Sadanand Shetty(3), Diwakar Aitappa Shetty from Bantwal, Kushal Chidanand Shetty, Chidanand Aitappa Shetty from Beltangady and his son, Dhanush (3) were injured. One of the injured has been admitted into Manipal Hospital, one in Karwar Hospital and three in the taluk hospital, it is learnt.

The vehicle had left from the house of Chidanand Shetty in Padangady, at around 7 pm on Tuesday November 17 for attending the ‘Seemantha’ ceremony of a pregnant relative at Hubli, scheduled to be held today,  it is gathered.
