Kundapur, Nov 21: A shop dealing in sales and service of mobile phones, located on the main road here, was gutted in a fire that started at around 11 pm on Friday November 20. Electric short circuit is thought to have started the fire.
All the items including mobile phones and furniture in the shop were reduced to ashes. 40 mobile sets, mobiles given for repairs, important documents and roof of the shop too were burnt down in the raging fire.
The shop is located in the commercial hub of the town. With the timely arrival of the fire brigade here, further losses were averted.
