Bantwal: Parish Feast of Holy Family Church Omzoor Celebrated

Bantwal, Nov 27: The parish feast of Holy Family Church, Omzoor here was celebrated with much reverence on Wednesday November 25.
 
The festal Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr Joachim Fernandes, professor of St Joseph’s Seminary, Jeppu. The blessed candles were presented to the sponsors of Besp and parish feast before the Holy Mass. The Eucharistic Mass was concelebrated along with Bantwal deanery vicar vara and Modankap Infant Jesus parish priest Fr Roque D’Sa and other priests from Bantwal deanery parishes and nearest parishes.
 
The parish units of ICYM and YCS put up various stalls in the parish grounds and were thronged by people after the Holy Mass. Parish council vice-president James Lewis, Secretary Cynthia Lobo, council members and leaders of parish organizations took the leadership of overall arrangements under the guidance of parish priest Fr Cyril Pinto.
 
Thousands of devotees regardless of caste, creed and religion attended the annual parish feast.



Besp

Besp ceremony was celebrated on Tuesday November 24. Fr Ronald Pinto, assistant parish priest of Bondel parish presided over the liturgical proceedings. The procession of ‘Cherelancho Purshanv’ was taken between the liturgy.

The procession concluded in the church with eucharistic blessings. Hundreds of parishioners participated in the spiritual event.

    Glad to see the Parish community celebrating the annual feast. How nice it would have been if all the Altar children were with their full altar dress.
