Udupi, Nov 27: The Fishermen’s Association of Malpe presented a cheque of Rs 4,45,605, collected from various fishermen’s units, to the Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund on Friday November 27.
The cheque was handed over to state home minister Dr V S Acharya by Malpe Fishermen’s Association president Hiriyanna T Kidiyoor in the presence of MLA Raghupati Bhat and Laxminarayan.
Fishermen’s leaders Rama Kanchan, Yashpal Suvarna, Vijay M Bangera, Narayan Karkera, Somanath Kanchan, Satish Kundar, Gopal Kundar, Vijay Suvarna, Vasu Karkera, Radhakrishna, Taranath Kundar, and Raghu Kunder were present on the occasion.
