Bantwal, Apr 4: In an incident that occurred on Saturday, April 4 at Perla near B C Road Kaikamba in the taluk, a woman committed suicide reportedly over some trivial reason.
Rameeza Banu (29), wife of Abbas Ali, a resident of Thumbay is the woman who hanged herself. The couple has three children. They were basically from Thumbay and had shifted to Perla recently.
The exact reason for this extreme step by the deceased is not known. It is suspected by locals that Rameeza might have killed herself as she was anxious that her husband Abbas took out the auto and went driving during lockdown time.

The body of the deceased is sent to post mortem. A case in this connection is registered at Bantwal police station.
