Mangaluru, Apr 6: Policemen from the commissionerate here, who work at the frontline and therefore face highest risk of getting exposed to coronavirus, have been issued with face shields.

This information was shared by city police commissioner Dr P S Harsha, in a tweet.

Anti-contagion face shields now issued to the police are specialised form of protection equipment that are far superior as compared to face masks.

The shields have come in the form of an additional form of defence against coronavirus and will be handy for the police in discharging their duties.
