Mangaluru, Apr 8: MLAs Vedvyasa Kamath and U T Khader took rounds of the city jointly in separate vehicles to assess the situation under lock down.

It has been 15 days since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the lock down throughout the country to curb the spreading of coronavirus pandemic. However, some people are not serious yet about the reason for which this lock down is imposed and are roaming on the streets without any valid reason.

Both the MLAs advised people who were loitering on the streets to get back to their homes or accommodations and follow the lock down rules strictly and cooperate with the district authority.

Though the city police commissioner has already banned the vehicular movement except emergency service vehicles, some private vehicles were seen to be moving on the streets. Police have confiscated scores of vehicles already for violating the rules.
