Mangalore: Milagres Team Wins Inter-parish Cricket Tournament

Mangalore, Dec 9:
The semi-finals and finals of the inter-parish men’s and women’s cricket tournament were held at Guardian Angel parish, Angelore, recently.  The cricket tournament was organized to mark the platinum jubilee celebrations of Guardian Angel parish. 
 
In the women’s category, Milagres parish team bagged the trophy while Guardian Angel parish team was the runners-up.  


 

Flossy of Angelore parish team was adjudged best batswoman while Diana D’Cruz of Milagres parish was best bowler and Pramitha Pinto bagged the player of the match award.

In the men’s category, Guardian Angel parish team took home the trophy while St Rita parish team, Cascia, was the runners-up.
 
Deepak of Cascia parish team bagged the best batsman award while Prakash Lobo and Alwyn Tauro, both of Angelore parish, bagged the best bowler and man of the match awards, respectively. 
 
Angelore parish priest Fr Stany B Lobo presented the awards on the occasion.
 
An inter parish flood-lit volleyball competition will be inaugurated by superintendent of police Dr Subramanyeshwar Rao at Angelore parish ground at 7.00 pm on Saturday December 12.
