Sharjah: Man vandalizes car windows, gets arrested

Sharjah, May 5: In the early hours of Tuesday, May 5, police in Sharjah took a man in custody said have involved in vandalizing parked cars.

In a statement issued on the previous night, the Sharjah police general command said that they'd received a video clip being circulated in social media in which a man is seen vandalizing parked vehicles in an area in Sharjah.

Officers said that the man was identified and arrested by a security team who is held responsible for damaging cars.

The Sharjah police is most likely to take legal action against the accused.

Officers said that the police is committed to ensure safety of the citizens and would responsibly undertake their duties to protect all public or private properties.

After the incident, the police have asked the citizens not to leave any kinds of valuables in their cars parked such as phone, money, wallet, women's handbags and so on as such items in the cars might result as easy targets for thieves.

The Sharjah police have urged the public to call the toll number (999) in case they witness any suspicious incident and receive necessary help.
