Udupi, Jan 12: Puthige Mutt seer Sri Sugunendrateertha Swamiji honoured Kanchi Kamakoti Jayendra Saraswati Swamiji on his 75th birth anniversary at Rajangana, Sri Krishna Mutt here on Monday January 11. The seer was felicitated on the occasion of Puthige Mutt’s Paryaya Mangalotsav and Santa Sandesha Mahotsav. 

Speaking on the occasion, Kanchi seer said that God resides in the heart of man who always had good thoughts. Always listen to good things and speak no eveil, added the seer. 

Pejawar Mutt senior seer Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji was also present. He called upon the Hindus to unite despite the differences in certain doctrines. 

Puthige seer said that peace will reside in the society only when we hold other people’s characters in high-esteem other than our own. Ego is responsible for destruction of man and therefore faith, service and care are very important, he said.

Kanchi seer was accorded a warm welcome through escorting him in a procession from Sanskrit College Circle to Car Street of Sri Krishna Mutt.
