Mangalore, Jan 12: The fifth anniversary of UK website Konkanifriends.com and inauguration of Konkanifriends Welfare Fund was held at Samanvaya Conference Hall, Urwa Stores on Sunday January 10.

Raj Francis Pereira, chief editor of Konknaifriends.com website
presided over the function. The fund anniversary celebration and welfare fund was inaugurated by Agnes Gladys Pereira, Raj’s mother. She handed over a cheque of Rs 10,000 to Dr Ronald Cutinha.

Chied guests Edwin M Netto, famous Konkani writer and John Monis, the editor of ‘Dirvem’ Konkani weekly appreciated the achievements and efforts of Raj Francis Pereira, the chief editor of Konkaifriends.com website since its inception.
 
Reshma Pereira, wife of Raj Francis Pereira was present on the dais. 

Sr Mabel and Sr Reshma led the prayer song. Dr Ronald Cutinha, director of Samanvaya welcomed the gathering and Raj Francis Pereira proposed the vote of thanks. Marcel D’Souza compered the programme
