Udupi: Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji Takes Holy Dip During Eclipse

Udupi, Jan 16: Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt had a holy dip in the Arabian Sea at Malpe during the solar eclipse period on Friday January 15. Thereafter, he walked barefoot to Kodavoor Lord Shankarnarayana temple located about three kms away, where he distributed Prasadam to the devotees.







After arriving in the city in the afternoon, he took bath in Madhwa Sarovar of Sri Krishna Mutt and paid obeisance to Lord Ananteshwara, Lord Chandramouleeshwara, Lord Krishna and Mukhyaprana.

Sri Vidyadheeshateertha Swamiji of Palimar Mutt took holy dip in the sea along with scores of devotees, at Kumbhasi Koravadi in Kundapur taluk. On this occasion, various Bhajana teams went through the streets of  towns, singing Bhajans, as the occasion coincided with the Purandaradasa Aradhane. ‘Sooryagrahana Shanti’ ritual was performed at Harihara temple in Kumbhasi on Friday.
