Mumbai: Susheela Mahabala Suvarna passes away

Mumbai, May 18: Susheela Mahabala Suvarna (82), wife of Netyalaya Arunodaya Kala Neketan, Mumbai founder, late M N Suvarna and mother of Dr Meenakshi Raju Sriyan passed away due to cardiac failure at her residence at Chembur on Saturday.

She hailed from Hejmady, Mulki, Mangaluru and worked hard for the progress of Arunodaya Kala Niketan while teaching music to the students. She was popularly known as Amma.

She mixed equally with all and unveiled the culture of Kannada-Tulunadu and Janapada.

She has left behind five sons, a daughter, son-in-law Raju Sriyan Navunda, a large number of students, friends and relatives.
