Kasargod, Jan 16: A gang that came in an Alto car intercepted a motor bike-borne youth near Arikkady Pare Daivasthana near Kumble on Friday January 15 and abducted him along with six lac rupees he was carrying.
Hyder, a youth from Kallangai in Mogralputtur, was going on his motor bike to Arikkady, when the gang chased him in an Alto car bearing Karnataka registration number. After stopping the motor bike, the gang members, who were conversing in Malayalam, reportedly abducted Hyder in their car. They later relieved him of the cash he was holding, and dropped him off on the way. Hyder was reportedly taking the cash given by a person, for being delivered to Mohammed from Bambrana.
A case has been registered in Kumble police station.
