Chickmagalur, Jan 17: The annual feast of Infant Jesus was celebrated at Bala Yesu Nivas here, recently.

The Eucharistic celebration that began at 6 pm was officiated by Dr T Anthony Swamy, the bishop of Chickmagalur diocese. More than a dozen priests concelebrated with the bishop.

The bishop in his homily stressed the devotion to the Infant Jesus and thanked the Capuchins for organizing such celebrations annually. Such events give an opportunity to all the faithful to participate and obtain the blessings of Infant Jesus.

The melodious choir led by Francis gave an opportunity to pray with more devotion. Fr Baptist Gonsalves, the vicar of Bala Yesus Nivas welcomed the gathering and explained the history of the celebration of the feast of Infant Jesus all over the world.

Bro Victor Crasta, the superior of Bala Yesus Nivas delivered the vote of thanks. Around 3,000 devotees irrespective of religious divide took active participation in the festive celebration.

I always look forward 2 c any article from there. We went to St.Joseph's High school, we had lots of friends not sure any one lives there any longer, I still have family from my Mom's side lives there, but no contact.

Its sad, we moved out from there, and moved to U.S.A My both parents passed away, I still regret not keeping in touch with our close family and friends. Please include us in your daily prayers, prayers can do miracles. That's all for now
