Udupi: Two Teenagers Drown at Sea

Kundapur, Jan 18: Two teenagers, Aravind Putran (18) and Sukeerti (17), studying in Viveka PU College, Kota, died after being washed away by huge waves at Padukare beach on Sunday January 17.

Both the youngsters, who lost their lives in the tragedy, were relatives.  While Sukeerti lived at Amblakere in Parampalli near the high school, Aravind used to attend the high school from the home of his grandfather located at Guddemane in Airody, Sasthan. He had gone to Parmapalli to attend the car festival at Saligrama. Aravind and Sukeerti went to the sea with Vijay (16), brother of Sukeerti. Unexpectedly, the two were washed away by huge waves.

After Vijay raised an alarm, several people rushed to the spot and tried to save the two. Vijay, who also was about to drown, was rescued and taken to a hospital. A case was registered in Kota police station in this connection.
