Sullia: Student harvesting mangoes gets electrocuted

Sullia, May 20: Nishanth (17), son of the late Somashekhar Kundalpady from Ramakumeru in Kodiyal village near Bellare got electrocuted on Tuesday, May 19.

Nishanth was reaping ripe mangoes grown in the tree located in his garden by using an aluminium hook. When he was engaged in this act, inadvertently the aluminium hook he was handling came in contact with a live wire passing above. Nishanth lost his life on the spot.

Nishanth was a first PU student at the government PU college in Panja.

    Tragedy! Quite often such tragedy occur in rural areas. Some precautions should be taken while using these aluminium ladders as electric wires pass through the plantations.Very sad. Om Shanthi!
