Mumbai: Smoking cigarette leads to ugly fight; man points gun

Mumbai, May 20: On the late hours of Monday, May 18, a fight broke out between a group of individuals near Wagle estate over smoking cigarettes.

The Thane police said that an argument erupted in the Sarthe Nagar area in Wagle Estate between two groups when one called out the other for smoking cigarette and releasing the smoke over his face. The argument later seemed to have turned nasty involving fistfights.

Gradually the fight involved pelting of stones, but it turned dangerous when one among them pointed a gun and threatened to shoot the rival group.

The entire incident was recorded in the CCTV camera, the police rushed to the spot as soon as they were notified and nabbed those causing trouble in the area. A case was registered against four of them and investigations are being carried on.

Amar Tusambar, identified to be the one pointing gun escaped the scenario and the police are looking out for him. The incident has caused panic and fear among the residents in the area.
