Mangalore: Seminar on Library Professionals Concludes at St Agnes College

Mangalore, Jan 20: The national-level seminar for library professionals held at St Agnes College concluded on Tuesday January 19.

The two-day seminar was organized by the library and information centre of the college with the sponsorship of University Grants Commission (UGC). The seminar was held with thematic sessions of paper presentation, panel discussions, and cultural programmes.










The seminar, which was on the topic ‘Empowering Library Professionals in Managing Digital Resources and Providing Extension Activities’, was inaugurated by Dr N Nagambika Devi, commissioner, Department of Collegiate Education. 

Sandhya S Pai, managing editor, ‘Taranga’ Kannada weekly, was the chief guest of the programme. Dr G K Manjunath, chief librarian, Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai, presented the keynote address at the inaugural.

The valedictory programme was presided over by Sr Marie Prem D’Souza. Dr Vishala B K, convener of the seminar and selection grade librarian of St Agnes College, proposed the vote of thanks.
