Mangalore, Jan 25: It is learnt that Justice Somashekhara Commission of Inquiry will submit its interim report on the probe it has conducted so far into the attacks on churches and other Christian prayer centres in the state, to the state government at 10.30 am on February 1, at the office of the deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district.
A release by the Commission said that the chief secretary of the state government, additional chief secretary in the home department, and the secretary in the department of law, have been asked to accept the report on behalf of the government at the said venue.
It may be recalled that the Commission, appointed to probe the church attacks, several of which happened in Dakshina Kannada district, has been holding hearings at various places. The extension given to the Commission is set to end on March 31.
