Mumbai, Jul 19: Mumbai police have arrested a 23-year-old man for murdering a 13-year-old boy. The severed body was found on Friday afternoon in the forested area near Dharavli village, Malad.
The culprit is identified as Karan Bahadur, who was victim Vidyanand Yadav’s neighbour. The victim was abducted and killed over an argument.
Vidyanand's body was found with his head cut off, the body was decomposed. He was identified with a pendant he wore as per Aarey police.
Police have secured CCTV footage showing Bahadur taking the Vidyanand in an auto to Malad. On reaching Dharavli, both hade conversation for an hour. Later conversation turned into argument and Bahadur was seen running after Yadav into the jungle.
Police officer said the argument was related to the construction of a wall in their locality in Aarey Colony.
