Kasargod: BJP stages protests urging for probe into fire mishap

Kasargod, Aug 26: BJP Kasargod district led protests on Wednesday August 26 urging for detailed investigation regarding fire mishap that occurred in Kerala state secretariat on Tuesday evening and opposing the arrest of state president K Surendran.

A protest rally that began from the party office at Karandakkad was stopped by police personnel near Taluk office gate.

District president Srikanth inaugurated the protests. Vice president Sadananda Rai presided. District committee members P Suresh Kumar, G Chandran, municipal councilor Savita teacher, Srilatha, Uma Kadappura, Duggappa, Shanker, Jayaprakash, district committee member Madhava Master, Mandala secretary P R Sunil, Yuva morcha district president Dhananjay Madhoor, treasurer N Jithesh, Yogish and others led the protests.

Police forcibly arrested and released district president K Srikanth, Dhananjay Madhoor and others who sat on protests for several hours on the road.
