Yeddyurappa govt will collapse soon: Former CM

Bangalore, Mar 25 (PTI) : B S Yeddyurappa led BJP government in Karnataka would soon fall due to internal contradictions in the party, former chief minister and senior congress leader N Dharam Singh said today.

The first BJP government in the south would be brought down by its own men and Congress or any other party would have no role in it, Singh told reporters."There are lot of internal contradictions in BJP. Dissidents are already at work to topple the government, he said.

He charged the BJP government with uttering falsehoods.

"Where is the money for its claims for development. The government is bankrupt. The treasury is empty. The government is surviving on borrowings. But they have some money to donate for religious mutts", he alleged. He condemned the anti cow slaughter bill passed by the Assembly recently

I think when BJP constructs "Go Shaala" they can extend an invitation for this old cow, Dharam Singh, for sitting on his kursi (like how the cows sit on the middle of road) and doing nothing when he was in power and only talking bullSh*t!

First of all, all these old buzzards like Dharam singh, Advani, etc. should be banned from making public speeches, once they start losing their teeth and begin wearing artificial teeth set.

Hi... don't say that "People who residing in foreign countries and coming india only for 1 or 2 months in a year they doesn't know about their State" I don't agree we know better than you (Im also working in a foreign country) we can compare our Karnataka to other places in Gulf, and the fact is we are way behind them in every department.

Some people in this comments column trying to tell that they know everything, but in my opinion they are "Koopa Mandookas" to gain some knowledge about world you should visit some countries then only you will realise the fact. Whoever comes to power in Karnataka it doesn't make any difference, don't waste your valuable time by blaming each others becoz political leaders fighting only for money not for the well being of people. S.M. KRISHNA was the GREAT in Congress Ruling in Karnataka. Others were all USELESS. I do endorse Eric Coelho's comments. Let's see BJP ruling in 5 years.
@RESHMA: Why Gulf servers don't have right to tell about their home state? May be being an NRI, you are not remitting money, to your Homeland for dear & near ones. INDIA IS EARNING MILLIONS IN FOREIGN EXCHANGE, including KARNATAKA, on all NRI s remittance. IS IT not the contribution to Treasury of Karnataka????. Remember, It is the NRI s Contribution helped INDIA to settle WORLD BANK DEBT, during EX-PM CHANDRASHEKAR'S REGIME. Therefore, every NRI has got right to tell about the Government, as long as they are Indians.

Dear readers, pls. read again comments from Mr.Eric Coelho, Ajman, so matured comments. Also I agree with Ms. Reshma‘s comments. It is easy to comment on others, before you comment you ask your self what’s your contribution for the development of Karnataka.
Mr.Shahnawaz Kukkikatte, Visiting native for one or two months once in two years or one year won’t give you the true picture of present developments. See the interior roads let us know in which ruling Govt. developed roads like this.?? I found concrete roads even in villages. Did you see the condition of National highway few months back? National high comes under Central Govt., still state Govt. managed to repair by pressurizing the Central. Hats up to Mr.Krishna Palemar who struggled a lot to get it done.
You talk about power cut, during Congress or JDS Govt. it was worst than now. BJP is just completed 2 years in State. They are not the Magicians to Supply power immediately with out any sources. Couples of power projects are under construction, it will take time for production. Earlier Govt.never bother about future plan, that why present Govt. is facing problem.
Secondly, just compare the Population hike in the state & the increase in construction of Commercial & Residential Bldgs. From where you will provide power for them. Do you think, the Population & development (construction) are the same as it was there during past Govt.??
You tell us which political party will be able to solve all the problems of Karnataka with in 2 years?
Crores of revenue comes from Temples all over India, tell us which other religious organization contributes direct revenue to Govt. like temples.
I am not a supporter of BJP, let us give a chance to New Govt.at least for 5 years then we comment. What Mr.Kumaraswami –JDS did, started sleeping in poors house, later now permanently sleeping in that Actress‘s house. This is called development of poors.!!

Power cuts have always been there in and around Mangalore. Infact, the problem is much better now than it was a few years ago. I was in Mlore in dec 2009 for almost a month. I did not experience anything as you have mentioned in your comments. Mangalore has improved a lot in the last couple of years. Please don't criticize each and everything just because the BJP govt is in power.

    shah nawaz...
drought & power cut... is not new in karnataka...this is because of natural circumstances & not due to yeddys govt..
I dont understand why you raise issues on vedas & manu culture when you are not well versed nor authorised to comment on this, religion. I can imagine how you would retaliate if someone ever tried commenting on Islam or Quran.
As far as the treasury is concerned.. go back & remember how gundu rao... bangarappa.. & the likes from congress plundered & looted it , like the mughal invaders....when the public was starving & deprived of the same amenities that is now missing...
and finally if somebody is promoting the policies & manifestos of his govt.. then let him do so..INDIA is a secular & democratic country unfortunately ... which is why every one comes up with opinion & philosophy every day... nevertheless of no use.. except that the comments column in Daiji portal gets filled...
I advice you to use your valuable time in something more fruitful...

If you both supported KRISHNA, today he would have been ruling KARNATAKA and not the COMMUNAL BJP. You both are responsible for BJP existence in KARNATAKA. I think before Yeddy Government falls, you will fall. What you did when you were the CM ? Just cutting RIBBONS. Nothing else. You can not walk properly or talk properly. You look like a HIPOPOTAMAS. Since we got independence and from my birth, I can only say that during Congress Rule in Karnataka there has been only one Growth -"The Physical Body Growth of the Political Leaders". They failed in all fronts. So it is time we gave a chance to another political party and that too also turned out to be a disaster initially - as they attacked the Minority Community physically. BJP is completing only 2 years and too little time to talk too much of them. Let us watch and see in another 4 years their performance. Till then we have to remain silent spectators.

Mr Shanawaz and Mr Ismail, Assalam Alaikum. On Behalf of Nagesh Nayak i would like to give justification to all the readers. Shri. B S Yeddyurappa is doing good works in Karnataka on behalf of BJP Party. First of all, a small portion of money collected from the Mutts has given back (donated) for Mutts for their development works, that’s all. There is no more special or wonders.
Secondly, the power problem is because of less rain fall and less storage of water in the dams. Govt can start power generation from other sources only when the so called Environmentalists make the Govt free to operate on the project plans. Because of less rain fall, the power crisis has taken place.
Thirdly, it is common in politics that other parties will always speak negatively or give destructive comments on the ruling party. It is common too.
Hope i have answered the questions for the doubts.

I wish and pray sooner is the better. I was on a brief vacation to my native place. Karnataka is facing drought in power n there is no power supply at all. Today, on 25/3/2010, power went off at 9.30am and supply resumed at 11 a.m. Again it went off at 11.30 and came at 5.00 p.m. Again went at 6.00 pm only come back at 7.30 pm. This can be verified by any one. When contacted MESCOM officials told me that there is severe scarcity and load shedding is normal on the above hours. Yeddy promised 23x7 power supply. But from where and how? He is busy in distributing tax payers money to temples and dargahs. Some progress has been in road works. But other areas are going to dogs. Everywhere lawlessness and corruption. Karnataka is more worried about protecting cows and both CM/HM are quoting from vedas that rulers must protect cows. I just ask only cows and not its subjects? I am sure Yeddi shall not be elected again and BJP has to pack up and run away from Karnatka. Yeddi shall be given a saffron uniform and title of "shree, shree...thirtha" and shall be made a swami for his role in promoting manu culture. The treasury of karnataka is empty and now BJP govt has to take a bowl in their hands and beg in the streets. All money has been diverted to mutts, temples, darghas, and hajj bhavans. Money is spent on building goshalas. Is it development. For Yeddi development means protecting cows, granting funds to mutts and promoting manu culture and untouchability. Poor Yeddi doesnt know.
