Kadaba, Sep 29: The endo day care centre activities at Koila, which had been suspended for the last some months because of coronavirus pandemic, have resumed now. Representatives of the centre are visiting the homes of students to provide academic and medical services.

Koila endo day care centre of Karnataka government is being run from a year by Seone organisation. From March this year, all the activities of the day care centre had been closed down because of lockdown.

40 inmates have been registered in this centre. Doctors who provide physiotherapy treatment two days in a week, speech and hearing, special education, skill training teachers, have been visiting homes of students to extend all services which they would otherwise have got at the centre. Students living in Alankaru, Kunthoor, Perabe, Ramakunja, Haleneeranki, Hirebandadi, Peryadka etc are being served by the centre.

After lockdown was announced, these students had been deprived of physiotherapy treatment. Therefore there has been an adverse impact in their health condition. In the coming days, regular training would be necessary to achieve improvement in their health conditions. Rashmi, physiotherapist of the centre, regrets the fact that she could not extend physiotherapy to the students although she was interested to extend the service, because of the fear of corona.

Rajeevi Buderia, mother of endo affected children, says that she has been getting medical and educational facilities from Koila endo day care centre for her three children. She said that their health had improved impressively but during the last five months, as no physiotherapy was available, their health has been affected.
