Mangaluru, Sep 29: In a raid conducted under the direction of joint commissioner of excise Shailaja Kote of Mangaluru division by a team led by excise superintendent Vinod Kumar and deputy superintendent Shivaprasad, seven people were arrested for consuming ganja on Tuesday September 29. The team also seized 500 grams of ganja.
Arrested has been identified as Alistair, Pratham Shetty, Pratham Devadiga, Vishwas, Manjunath, Chirag and Chris.
Eight cases have been registered against the accused.
In the team of excise officials were Seema Maria, Prathiba G, Kamala H N, Santhosh Kumar, Sunil, Umesh H, Sandeep Kumar and Manmohan.
