Kundapur, Oct 2: "Police atrocity that was meted out to former AICC president Rahul Gandhi and chief secretary of Congress Priyanka Gandhi, who went to Uttar Pradesh to console the parents of the Dalit girl, who was raped and murdered recently, is condemnable. PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath are directly involved in this act," said Kanmakki Hariprasad Shetty, president of Kundapur Block Congress.

Hariprasad further said, "The rape and murder of the Dalit girl that took place in Uttar Pradesh is not only an inhuman act but a shame to mankind. The mortal remains of the girl were not handed over to the family. It was burnt in an inhuman manner. The act of the UP government who kept the family members of the victim girl under house arrest is shameful. The action taken by UP CM Yogi to cover up the real face of the government has made the civilized society bury their head in shame.

"UP police has assaulted and sent back the former president and reigning chief secretary of a national political party, who went to console the family of the girl victim who died in rape and murder, and sent them back to Delhi. If this is the situation of people holding power, what must be the status of common man, farmer and labourers in Uttar Pradesh? The UP government needs to be dismissed immediately and President's rule should be imposed."
