Bantwal, Oct 2: "First Holy Communion is one of the most important sacraments in the life of a Christian. Let it inspire our life," said Fr Melwin Noronha, parish priest of Pakshikere parish.

Fr Melwin presented the homily at the mass that was offered on the occasion of First Holy Communion at St Joseph church of Soorikumeru and conveyed his good wishes to the children and parents.

The main celebrant of the mass was Fr Gregory Pereira, parish priest of Soorikumeru Church.

Ashmitha Suvaris, Kenneth Sequeira, Rishal D'Sa and Rishon Martis received First Holy Communion during the mass. Only 25 members of one child were allowed to participate in the holy mass.

Elias Pereira, vice president of the church, Mary D'Souza, secretary, Sister Nancy, chief of convent and Sister Lovita were present.
