Karwar, Oct 3: During paramotor flying at the Karwar seashore meant to attract tourists, the motor developed a technical problem as a result of which a captain of the Karwar navy base was killed. The incident happened on Friday October 2.

Madhusudan Reddy (55) of Andhra Pradesh origin lost his life in this adventure. He had come here with family members from Bengaluru. The family had arrived at the Karwar seashore. Reddy wanted to experience the para flying adventure. But because of some technical problem in the paramotor, the motor broke and fell into the sea, it is said.

Both Madhusdan and Vidyadhar Vaidya, who was the expert guide, fell into the sea. Even though both were brought out of sea immediately, Madhusudan who became very sick, died soon. When going aboard the para machine, Madhusudan was tied with a belt and other things for safety. Therefore, after falling into the sea, he could not swim and hence became very sick, it is said. Vidyadhar Vaidya too became sick but he is out of danger, it is learned.

As the ambulance took a lot of time to arrive, the people who were very sick were taken to the hospital in the police jeep, it is learnt.
