Udupi: All services at Kasturba Hospital Manipal open to public from Oct 5

Udupi, Oct 3: Dr Avinash Shetty, medical superintendent of Kasturba Hospital Manipal announced, “All services of the hospital, including unit wise outpatient services, inpatient services, non-OPD specialty services and health check-up package will be open to the public with effect from Monday October 5. Those who require can avail of this facility. All types of surgical facilities are available. However, the COVID-19 test (RT-PCR) is mandatory for inpatient admission to surgical services. If done in their hometown, it is valid up to 96 hours from the date of the throat swab taken. Otherwise, the mandatory COVID-19 test will be performed before inpatient admission to any surgery."

Those visiting the hospital should visit the temporary screening KIOSK set up outside the hospital and then will be shifted to the said respective departments. Mask is essential for all the patients and their attenders and only one attender is allowed along with the patient.
