Bantwal, Oct 3: The part played by teachers in the lives of students is prominent. But very few students remember them in their lives.

Geetha Kumari N V, Hindi teacher in Puttur, government high school, Irdi, Uppalige received Hindi Shikshaka Rathna award from the state government this year. She was a teacher at Deepika High School, Modankap, Bantwal 25 years ago. Her old students under the leadership of former Buda president Sadashiva Bangera visited her residence and congratulated her.

Geetha teacher who spoke about old memories shared her feelings with her former students. She said that the visit by her former students has given her greater joy than the award.

Deepika High School old students Sadashiva Bangera, Manoj Kumar Kanapadi, Sadashiva Bangera, Harish Salian, Kishore Acharya, Ganesh Kulal Bedrakatte, Anil, Sunil, teacher’s husband Suryanarayana P and house members were present.
