Bantwal: ABVP protests against brutal rape of late Manisha Vilmiki in Hathras

Bantwal, Oct 5: Akhila Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishat (ABVP) Bantwal staged protests in front of Mini Vidhan Saudha, B C Road on Monday condemning the recent brutal rape of Manisha Valmiki, the young girl in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh.

Venkataramana Swamy College, retired head of the department of politics, professor Narayana Bhandary addressing the protesters opined that incidents such as this will decrease only when youth receive value-based education. The atrocities on women can be prevented only when stricter laws are implemented, he said.

A memorandum addressed to the president of India that the rapists of Manisha Valmiki should be sentenced to death and stricter legal acts should be implemented to stop rapes, was submitted by ABVP through the tahsildar.

ABVP Mangaluru division convener Ashish Ajjibettu, state executive member Akhilash, taluk convener Harshith Koila, taluk co-convener Dinesh Koila, Siddakatte unit president Guruprasad Chetan Okketthoru, Akash, Mahesh Harshith Arala, Nithin Siddakatte, Tilak Shetty Poonja, Nagaraja Shenoy, Anish Cheloor, Sumanth, Likhit and others were present.

    But UP police have said that there was no rape. So, is this protest after the statement from UP police????????..........So, these protestors made sure that clean chit will anyway issued to the rapist by police statement so why not play Good Samaritan to the victim's family?!?!?!?!?..........
