Mangaluru, Oct 5: Catholic Sabha Vamanjoor which was established on October 6, 1996 is celebrating its silver jubilee. St Joseph church, parish priest Fr James D’ Souza inaugurated its logo.
“Catholic Sabha creates awareness among people about social, political and government facilities. It distributes health cards and serves under the motto of service, sacrifice and unity,” he said.
Former unit president Martin D’Souza, gave details of the service during the last 25 years. President Lena Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Convener Cyprian Menezes, secretary Zena Fernandes, Denis D’ Souza and parish pastoral council secretary Anitha Colaco were on the dais.
