Mangaluru: Fr Ben Britto felicitated at Mandd Sobhann 225th monthly theatre

Mangaluru, Oct 6: On behalf of Mandd Sobhann and Sumel Konkani Orchestra, the International Music Day was celebrated at the 225th monthly theatre of Mandd Sobhann. The programme was transmitted to the people through Daijworld TV and online media. Kapuchin priest, Fr Ben Britto Prabhu, was honoured in recognition of his special achievement in the field of classical music and in valuable contributions he has made to the field of music.

'Sumel' coordinator, Sunil Monteiro, trainer, Anil Patrao, and secretary, Irene Rebello, felicitated the priest by draping a shawl around his shoulders and presenting fruits, flower, memento, and a citation. Mandd Sobhann Gurkar, Eric Ozario, president, Louis Pinto, and secretary, Kishore Fernandes, were present.



Sumel team presented the song, 'Haad Jaakina Bukulo Lakai Talyant' song written by immortal poet, Chafra D'Costa with Eric Ozario as music composer, on the occasion. Elron Rodrigues, Simone Monteiro and Ashil Mascarenhas extended musical support. Prithuma Monteiro presented the programme.

Thereafter, as the 225th programme of the monthly theatre series, 'Purna Patholi - 2' musical extravaganza of Mandd Sobhann songs was presented.
