Karkala: Woman douses herself with kerosene before torching

Karkala, Oct 6: A woman from Hebir taluk who reportedly was suffering from some mental problems set herself ablaze. Sujatha Bhandary (50) from Guddeangady Madibettu in Kanajaru village near Hebri poured kerosene on herself on Sunday October 4 before torching herself.

It is said that Sujatha's husband had left her and married another lady. Thereafter, Sujatha started to suffer from psychological disorders. She reportedly was undergoing depression. A case about this unnatural death was registered in Hiriadka police station.
